I live with my wife and our dog in a beautiful, fictional village by a lake. Beauty is here in abundance and the environment is inspiring. While that doesn’t show up in my work in any obvious way, it is an influence. There is a kind of density of nature here that makes its way into how I make things. It’s also just a great place to live and make art.
Many more influences shape the work that I do and how I make it. I try not to fixate on any of them. I prefer to let my head and hands go to unexpected places. It’s what motivated me to work under a pseudonym in the first place.
For me, art is a physical act with an emotional origin – guided by a need to feel free and yet also connected to something greater.
